1st Hellenic International Space Academy Camp “Loukianos” (7-14 July 2019)
The Hellenic Space Agency announces the 1st International Space Academy Camp “LOUKIANOS” which is named after an ancient Greek scientific space fiction author who is considered to be the founder of Astronautics.
The camp is taking place in Athens, Greece, from 7th to 14th July 2019.The upcoming 1st International Space Academy Camp “LOUKIANOS” aims at providing opportunities to discuss issues and share views related to the contribution of the international space community to the citizens, students, economy, development and science.
The Conference will be conducted over seven days, from Sunday 7th to Saturday 14th of July 2019. It is advised to use Saturday 6th and Sunday 14th July 2019 as travel days. The project schedule of the conference will be updated regularly on the web site. A provisional overview of the conference is mentioned below, while a final detailed agenda will be issued in due course.
Registration is open to all interested post-graduate and under-graduate students in consultation with their country’s Space Agency as well as space enthusiasts. For the first time Heads and Executives of the most outstanding Space Agencies, Prime Space Companies, astronauts and other Space Scientists will share their experience and their vision to young students in such intensive academic program while the audience will actively participate and interact with them.
Participants are required to submit a registration application as well as to complete the fee’s deposit (conference and accommodation), no later than the 10th of June 2019, by filling the respective joining request form in Hellenic Space Agency’s web page. A confirmation message and a deposit invoice will be provided.
Loukianos Academy Fees:
Early booking: 1.500,00 euros (For registrations until May 17th 2019)
Late booking : 1.800,00 euros (For registrations from May 18th until June 15th 2019)
Last minute check-in : Upon request
Each registration will cover conference and administrative expenses and will include full board 5* hotel (Breakfast – lunch – dinner – coffee breaks), last day fiesta, a short excursion to near-by islands and a “Loukianos” Space Academy attendance certification.
